Though exercises have previously mentioned benefits and much more, it is very important to know when to stop exercising. Even a proper exercise performed beyond capacity of individual is harmful and will give rise to symptoms like fatigue, debility, excessive thirst, dry cough, fever, vomiting or may even lead to bleeding disorders like bleeding from nose etc.

Therefore no matter how physically fit you are, or how long you may have been playing a particular sport, never ignore certain warning symptoms of over exercise. The following warning symptoms are potentially serious, and might mean you are having a heart attack or some other medical emergency. Do not continue with exercise or you may make damage worse.

Stop exercising right away if you have any of these symptoms:

  1. Chest pain or chest pressure.
  2. Pain in your neck, jaw or running down your left arm.
  3. Heart palpitations.
  4. Dizziness or light-headedness.
  5. Nausea or feeling of uneasiness.
  6. Blurred vision.
  7. Severe breathlessness.
  8. Feeling faint or fainting.

If you suffer from any of symptoms mentioned above, immediately call your physician for medical advice and proper management.
